jokikinh koiuyolk&iugbug pinh

A love story that began between weathered bookshelves and dog-eared poetry, culminating in a sun-drenched celebration on the Amalfi Coast — where the words they once read aloud to each other became the vows they spoke for life.
It was a Tuesday in late October when jokikinh koiuyolk first noticed him. The bookshop on Via dei Condotti was nearly empty, rain streaking the tall windows, and there he stood in the poetry aisle, holding a slim volume of Pablo Neruda with the kind of reverence most people reserve for sacred things. She watched him read, his lips barely moving over the Spanish verses, entirely unaware of the world shifting around him. She reached for the same shelf. Their fingers met on the spine of Twenty Love Poems and a Song of Despair.
"That one will ruin you," she said. He looked up, startled, and then he smiled — a smile that she would later describe to friends as the moment the rest of her life began. "I think I'd like to be ruined," he replied. They spent the next three hours in the corner of the shop, sitting cross-legged on the wooden floor, reading poems aloud to each other as the rain painted rivers down the glass.
"I knew the moment our fingers touched the same book —
every love poem I'd ever read was about him."
What followed was a courtship told in the margins of borrowed books. iugbug pinh would leave notes in the pages — tiny observations, fragments of verse, once an entire letter folded into the crease of a Borges novel. jokikinh koiuyolk kept every one. They walked through Rome at all hours, arguing passionately about line breaks and metaphor, stopping to kiss at fountains.

Two years passed — beautiful and unhurried. iugbug pinh had begun working on his thesis; jokikinh koiuyolk was curating her first exhibition at a small gallery near the Tiber. They moved into a narrow apartment with terracotta floors and too many bookshelves.
The proposal came in the gardens of Villa Cimbrone, high above the sea. iugbug pinh knelt among the flowers, opened the weathered velvet box, and said simply: "Every poem I've ever read led me to you. Stay with me for all the ones we haven't read yet."
She said yes before he finished the sentence.
